Like countless other organizations, we’ve had to change the way we do things since the COVID-19 pandemic hit. We normally hold the majority of our meetings in person, including professional development events, networking happy hours, board meetings, and our annual winter holiday party and summer planning meeting. In March of this year, all of that changed.
We’ve been meeting virtually since April, and that will continue through our entire 2020–2021 season. Things were in a state of transition for our spring meetings, but we have since upgraded things on the tech side for a more user-friendly experience—from registration to attendance.
Below are the topics we’ll be covering this season. Listings will be rolling out over the coming days on the PEN calendar, where you’ll be able to find more information on what each event is about (and register to attend, when registration opens).

As has been the case for our in-person meetings, nonmembers are welcome to attend up to two PEN meetings for free before deciding to join. Members get unlimited attendance at all events as well as access to our archive of past meeting recordings, among other benefits. All our 2020–2021 meetings will be recorded and made available for members to view at any time.
If you’re not yet a member of the Professional Editors Network, you can learn more about membership rates (including our discount for students and recent grads), our other benefits, and how to join on the Join PEN page.
