SUMMARY:Editing and Proofreading Comics
DESCRIPTION:Working with comic books requires many of the same skills as other media, but there are also a lot of elements unique to this format. How is the overall publishing process for comics different from that of general books or magazines, and what does an in-house editor do? What are some of the key style conventions that prospective proofreaders of comics should be aware of? What are the paths into the industry, either as a freelancer or in-house at a publisher? At this meeting, you’ll get answers to these questions and more from comics professionals Allyson Rudolph and Steve Colle.
This virtual meeting will be held as a Zoom webinar with automatic live captioning available. Attendees will have the opportunity to submit questions for the presenters and to use text chat to interact with each other.
