“My meeting Erin was truly a miracle, happening just when I was ready to search for an editor for my book. I found Erin to be a very transparent and soft-hearted human being who deeply cares, and I love her work. She is very detailed, not only with sentences, but with the punctuation as well. She really knows what she’s doing! I plan to write more, and I am sure she will be my go-to editor forever with all my upcoming books. She really has an edge in the way she writes and reframes sentences, and she recommends certain references, which is amazing. I love every bit of it. I would surely recommend her for your book. I am looking forward to working with her again very soon.”
Leena Chandan Life, Business, & Relationship Coach, and Author of The Relationship Code for Everything
“I had been needing somebody to edit my personal statement in order to apply to physician assistant programs, and Erin’s editing and proofreading helped me tremendously. She was able to correct all of my grammatical errors and make my essay more clear, concise, polished, and professional. The pricing for her work was amazing given both its quality and the timely manner in which she was able to return her work to me.”
Jenny Ki, Medical Scribe and Physicians Assistant Applicant
“Erin, I am grateful to have found you. Not only do you edit professionally and gracefully as you smooth out my paragraphs, but the questions you pose help me to go deeper so I can dig up my treasures. You are my ray of sunshine.”
Alicia Valentyn, Memoirist, Apple In My Truck ~ A Pathway to Inner Peace
In my former lives, I have been an avid reader; prolific poet; wife; devoted mother; homeschooling parent; co-creator of an innovative, cooperative education program; Montessori Primary teacher; spiritual seeker; home herbalist; and hobby editor. From my sons’ cooperative preschool community, I was part of a flagship group of parents who banded together to form a spin-off cooperative primary program begun sixteen years ago that is still operating today. I gave my sons a literary home education through their elementary and middle school years, studied herbalism through Rosemary Gladstar’s homestudy program, became certified as a Montessori educator through the Center for Guided Montessori Studies, and earned the Art of Proofreading’s High-Level Proofreading Pro Proofreading and Copyeditng certificate. I wrote a regular column for a Parenting newsletter; assisted a spiritual teacher with editing the second edition of her organization’s poetic anthology, Seasoning the Soul; was a contributing writer and editor for (now-defunct) Pagan Forest magazine; and have contributed articles and poetry to three spiritual anthologies.
Today, I am an independent woman, proud mother of two caring and intelligent grown sons, survivor of domestic violence, spoken word poetry artist, beloved member of a warm and supportive Open Mic community, live music enthusiast, spiritual seeker, avid reader, professional editor and proofreader, and entrepreneur. I spend my days building my editing business, Sunshine Editorial Services, by seeking and working on stimulating projects with clients I enjoy, and my nights performing poetry at local open mics and shows with fellow poets and musicians, or taking in the live shows of Vancouver and Portland’s thriving music scene.
I write, publish, and perform poetry, which can be found on facebook and instagram @ Erin Aurelia Poetry, and on my poetry blog, Bone&Stars @ boneandstars.substack.com. I write like a surgeon, a spelunker, an exorcist, and an astronaut: excising tumors, exploring the subterranean, expunging demons, and ranging the cosmos. I have composed two poetry chapbooks, Bone&Stars and Love Conspiracy, and am working on a third, to be called Feral.
