Not My Day Job

What do podcasts, yoga, and political campaigns have in common? They’re three examples of what PEN members do when they’re not editing. Come hear us talk about our passions and tell some good stories. There will also be time for attendees to talk about their own non-editing passion and connect with others who share their interests.

Carla Lomax is a certified yoga instructor who’s been teaching since 2011. She’ll talk about why she loves it and also discuss some common myths.

Scott Pearson has been doing a podcast called Generations Geek with his daughter for seven years. He’ll tell you how they got started, what’s changed while his daughter has grown from 14 to 21, and some of the accomplishments and challenges they’ve had over the years.

Beth Wright has volunteered with two local political campaigns for black women candidates. She’ll talk about how she got involved, what she learned, and why she’s still passionate about politics.

If you plan to attend, please RSVP by email to asstpencoordinator@pensite.org or through PEN’s Facebook or Eventbrite page.
