April 29 is the tenth annual Independent Bookstore Day, and the Professional Editors Network is pleased to once again be sponsoring the Twin Cities Independent Bookstore Passport, presented by Rain Taxi Review of Books.
From April 24 to April 29, you can pick up a free passport at any of the participating bookshops in St. Paul, Minneapolis, and the greater Twin Cities area. It features coupons you can use to support your book-buying habits, and each visit to one of the participating stores helps you earn more discounts as well as entry into drawings for literary prize packs. Learn more about the program and which stores are participating on the Rain Taxi website.
As in past years, the cover of the 2023 passport features the art of local illustrator Kevin Cannon, known for his portraits of bookstores throughout Minnesota and beyond. His work has also appeared on the region-wide Midwest Indie Bookstore Roadmap.
For those outside the Twin Cities area, learn about other Independent Bookstore Day happenings in Minnesota and throughout the US on the IndieBound website.
No matter where you live, and whether you’re shopping in person or online, we hope you’ll celebrate your local indie this Independent Bookstore Day!
