Legal Language: What Your Contracts and Other Documents Should Say
David Koehser, an attorney specializing in publishing law, will discuss contracts for editors: What should a contract say? How can you create one? How do you protect yourself against legal claims relating to copyright, defamation, or privacy issues? What contract language makes sure you get paid, and what recourse do you have if a client doesn’t pay? This discussion may also touch on other legal documents, such as nondisclosure agreements.
