I’m a trained academic (Master’s degree with first class honours), with peer-reviewed publications in a variety of fields. I work mainly in academic copyediting and proofreading. Closest to home for me are monographs in the humanities and social sciences (as I have published my own work in cultural studies, musicology and philosophy), but I have plenty of experience working in STM subjects and with fiction too. I also have experience indexing.
I have trained in copyediting with the Chartered Institute of Editors and Proofreaders (CIEP) of which I am a professional member. I am also a full member of AFEPI, as well as the Editorial Freelancers Association (EFA) and the Professional Editors Network (PEN).
