I am relatively new to the business of proofreading, however I have many years of experience in writing and editing under my belt. I graduated from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities in 1993 with a Bachelor of Individualized Studies. The three areas I focused on with this degree were Spanish, Social-Psychology, and Business. In the late 1990s, I pursued a career in education. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Education in 2001, with an emphasis on grades K-8, including middle school-level social studies. I went on to earn additional certificates and teaching licenses in special education, specifically in the areas of learning disabilities and emotional and behavioral disorders. Needless to say there has been an abundance of writing and editing opportunities available to me throughout my career.
