An experienced editorial freelancer and coach, Molly McCowan is the lead word nerd at Inkbot Editing, a board member of the Editorial Freelancers Association, an editing instructor with the Great Courses, and the founder of a 600-member chapter of Shut Up & Write!, which hosts weekly writing sprints and events for authors. After experiencing severe repetitive strain injuries due to too much computer work in 2017, Molly was forced to put her career on hold in order to focus on her physical health. Reestablishing her business after such a huge setback has given her a unique approach on how to maintain a successful freelance business during troubled times, and she’s passionate about sharing her best practices with other editorial professionals.
